We were fortunate to have been in Yosemite in the fall, when the trees flared in their autumn livery and the cliffs stood out in the crisp, cold air. There were climbers on the Capitan, the Half Dome and on Cathedral Rocks. We saw their lights shining like stars, as darkness fell, but felt no desire to follow them. Better to stay on solid ground and store the memories for future reference.
